Welcome to DHC Coffee's FAQ page. You have questions, we have answers. We're a group of self-proclaimed coffee connoisseurs who will provide you with everything you need to know about our beans, blends, and brewing techniques. 

So, where’s your coffee from?

The majority of our beans hail from some of the best coffee-growing communities in the world, such as Ethiopia, Honduras and Rwanda. Coffee is a seasonal product though, so it does change. We’re kinda like a footy team: we only use the best players from around the world every season.

What kind of tea are you peddling?

All of our loose teas come from the beautiful tea-growing mecca that is Sri Lanka. We currently stock English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Spiced Chai, Lemongrass + Ginger, Apple Pie, and our signature blend, Lemon Myrtle & Berries.

What sizes do your coffee beans and teas come in?

A: 250g, 500g and 1kg bags, with larger amounts available. No f*cking idea how many ounces that is. You’ll need to Google that shit.

What’s your roasting style and flavour profile?

Our approach to roasting is a fusion of old school and new school techniques – with a dash of doing shit our own way. We believe in using our senses and intuition to guide our roasting method while utilising the benefits of today’s technology and science to follow the coffee through the entire process.

It’s a little bit science, a little bit of art, and a helluva’ lot of passion for crafting a damn good drop. (You can probably tell that we have a bit of a hard-on for coffee. We’re okay with it.)

Can I buy DHC Coffee if I don’t own a cafe?

t the moment, we deal exclusively with wholesale café owners. *cue saddest trombone sound* But watch this space, amigo, because we’ve got big plans for the future. Like, HUGE.

Is there anywhere I can try some DHC Coffee brew?

ou sure can. Our beans are served up in 30 cafés across Queensland, Northern New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. Get in touch with us here, and we’ll point you in the right direction.

What makes your coffee so damn special?

We pride ourselves on only producing the freshest, fiercest, put-you-on-your-ass aromatic coffee that you’ll ever encounter. If you can’t smell your beans before you see them then:

a) Your coffee ain’t as fresh as it should be;
and
b) We need to chat. Pronto.

Seriously, if our stuff were any fresher, it would be illegal.

How do I get your coffee in my café?

Drop us a line via the contact page and let’s make a time to chat over a coffee (or three). Or you can visit our ordering partner, Upstock. You bring the great ideas. I’ll bring the beans.

Do you supply equipment?

Need a new machine or grinder to go with your rad beans? Luckily for you, we happen to know some pretty amazing suppliers and can hook you up with the best equipment in the industry. We also offer packages, if that floats your boat.

I’m a new café owner. Can you come and show me the best way to brew your beans?

Absolutely! In fact, we kinda froth over that shit. Just let us know you’d like a demo and we’ll hook you up. (And even if you don’t need our help, we’ll still invite ourselves over.)

Do you offer barista training/education? row

Shit yeah, more than you can handle! Coffee is our jam, and we love teaching people what we’ve learnt from our (many, many) years in the game. Again, get in touch and tell us where and when.

What are your prices?

Ahhh, nice try, but you’re going to have to buy us dinner and a drink before you get that info out of us. *wink* Or, you can get in touch via our contact form, and we’ll send you our price list — your choice.

Please note: Custom quotes are our jam as the needs and size of each café is different.

How long will it take to get my order?

You can expect to get your beans within 2-3 business days of ordering, depending on your location. For local businesses, we offer a drop-in service where we personally deliver your beans straight to your front door.
